Coquito Designs

I am really excited about this new line that I am coming out with. They are affordable and fun vintage lucite necklaces! I was trying to mix old and new in a modern and easy to wear way...and came up with these pieces. Most are made with brushed vermeil beads and vintage lucite, I just like the juxtaposition of the materials. I am still working on bracelets, and earrings, and some designs in silver also...but I would appreciate any feedback you might have! They will be part of my new spring line. I have a few on the Coquito Designs site for now...more to come!
Thanks for looking!
Sorry about the shameless plug...but it IS friday...8)

www.fosterweld.com

I was searching for some Etsy items for my husband and came across some really interesting distressed designs by FosterWeld on Etsy. Everything from belt buckles, to mirrors, to tables, to lighting can be found on their website. There are so many items I would post...pretty much the whole site! But I picked my favorites below.

A lot of the pieces are scratched and dipped in paint, or have paint drips on them. They're really well done, I have seen so many attempts at this style and it's hard to pull it off if you're not careful and really decisive about where you use your color and textures. There's even a pink skull belt buckle...if I wore a belt...I'd have to have it! Please check out the FosterWeld Etsy Store, and the Fosterweld site too...you won't be disappointed!

The Dippy Chick!!!

I have been a member of The Switchboards for awhile now, it's an online forum of Indie Designers and Crafters who are very talented, and helpful!

My next pick is from this online forum. I know...it's not fashion related...but it is an Indie Designer...a designer of FOOD! (my other favorite thing...8) Dippy Chick is a wonderful company offering ready made dry dips for parties!! They are packaged beautifully and when you recieve them, all you have to do is add your yogurt, sour cream, mayo, tofu etc...and you have DIP! A fantastic idea isn't it....and aside from that, there is the fact that owner Christine Hanisco is a mother who understands kids with allergies! So all of her dips are gluten free! You can even find that some recipes are more specific to other dietary needs...please check out her "Special Diets" page! Look her up and let her know where you found her fab dips!
